Mission accomplished

On my way home from Düsseldorf, I decided to give it a try and take charlie for inspection.

About 50km after I made that decision, the power steering went offline. Wohoo, try pulling off the autobahn and drive the ramp without power assistance. Let me tell you, it’s no fun.

On the way I stopped at a bakery and had even more fun, squeazing into a parking slot. When I restarted charlie, the power steering worked again, so I decided to give it a try anyway.

So the usual ritual started. The inspection engineer asked me for Charlies registration and I handed him the registration papers and a loose leaf binder with the inspection protocolls for all the aftermarket parts.  He looked at the papers and looked even more puzzled at the binder untill I explained him the contents.

I guess that was the moment he wished he had left work early today *lol*

To tell a long story short, Charlie passed inspection without any findings. They didn’t even notice, that the resonator was still in a box in the back of the MINI. The engineer complimented me on Charlie, that he liked the sound and asked me to take care of him because he wants to see him again in two years. :))
